The role

BAP Acoustics Ltd, a full-service acoustic engineering consultancy, is seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join our friendly team. This full-time position will be based in our Port Moody, BC location in the Metro Vancouver area, with hybrid work as a potential option.

What you’ll contribute

While day-to-day work activity includes an element of autonomy, most projects entail a collaborative effort to deliver end products to our clients. Examples include the creation of:

various test, measurement and noise impact reports
documentation required in submissions to municipalities
comprehensive acoustic design reports for design teams

What you’ll need

Qualifications & Experience:

At minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferably with an acoustics element
Up to five years of experience that includes noise measurement, sound insulation testing, sound propagation modelling, HVAC noise control etc.
Experience in:
- noise impact assessment
- application software such as CadnaA / EASE / CATT / ODEON
Finite element analysis skill is advantageous

Effective communicator, able to convey ideas and information accurately
Strong problem-solving ability
