Empire Dynamic Structures designs and manufactures complex structures for clients in the entertainment industry. One such structure is a flying theatre, which provides translational and rotation movement to seats in a theatre environment to produce a 4D cinema.
BAP Acoustics worked with Empire to troubleshoot noisy components within the translational and rotational mechanism so that those parts could be replaced with quieter alternatives to bring about lower levels of noise during seat movement.
We then traveled to Poitiers in France to witness noise measurements to assess contract compliance.
