The BAP Acoustics team completed a community noise assessment for a proposed Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) at the existing Roxul factory.
The survey data was used to determine the maximum allowable sound power output from the exhaust stack of a proposed new RTO exhaust fan, to ensure that there was no material increase in ambient noise levels currently experienced at nearby residences.
We specified the dynamic insertion loss requirement for the proposed in-stack silencer to allow the selected exhaust fan to be used without exceeding the design noise limit.
