BAP Acoustics worked with Durwest Construction Management and the Office of Mcfarlane Biggar Architects & Designers Inc. in the design of the terminal building expansion. Our input focused on the departures lounge design, as well as the area selected for pre-board screening. Reverberation control design issues included promotion of a high level of speech intelligibility from the public address (PA) loudspeaker system.
The acoustics of these spaces were computer modelled using EASE (Enhanced Acoustic Simulator for Engineers) to inform design decisions for these large open public spaces.
