The Bonsor Complex is a multi-service recreation centre located in the heart of Metrotown. Shape Architecture worked with the City of Burnaby to develop and to expand the existing Bonsor Recreation Centre to unleash the potential of this important civic hub in central Metro Vancouver.
BAP Acoustics was engaged by Shape to provide design input to minimise the impact of noise ingress to and noise escape from the music practice rooms. The adjacent spaces include a fitness room and a multi-purpose room. We proposed acoustic treatment in these rooms to optimise the music clarity in the practice rooms and the speech intelligibility in the fitness and multi-purpose rooms.
