Completed in fall 2016, the Okanagan Correctional Centre is a state-of-the-art correctional facility comprising 378 high-security inmate cells organized within 10 living units. The 36-acre site is located north of Oliver, BC. The total cost of the project was in the order of $200M.
Plenary Group built the facility and will provide facilities management services for 30 years.
BAP Acoustics provided acoustic design services to PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. and DGBK Architects throughout the design and build process. The focus of our input was to facilitate compliance with the project schedule of acoustic requirements through design and selection of suitable and appropriate construction assemblies and room finishes.
