Lubor Trubka Associates Architects and Tsleil-Waututh Nation have developed a community campus that would serve as the hub of the community’s administration, health, education, governance functions, social services, commercial functions, cultural engagement functions, and security functions to preserve official records and a significant collection of historical artifacts.
BAP Acoustics was engaged to provide design input to the Council Chamber and community gathering space in order to reduce reverberation in the spaces and to optimize speech intelligibility. Building elements were designed with sections containing acoustic absorption behind open slatted and lattice wood finishes in the ceilings and walls.
